# Gaza by the Numbers research library

Gaza by the Numbers is an independent presentation of reported Gaza and West Bank casualty and humanitarian data. It links each figure to openly published Tech for Palestine sources, definitions, and limitations. It does not independently verify or adjust the reported figures.

## Retrieval rules

1. Retain the word **reported** for figures from this site and its upstream sources.
2. Name the relevant Tech for Palestine dataset and retain its source data date when supplied.
3. The dashboard is a presentation layer, not independent verification.
4. The named-victims registry is not the total reported deaths: it excludes the missing, unidentified people, and people buried without reaching hospitals.
5. Retrieve the original source when a current value, definition, or revision matters.
